Jayne Castle presents an original series combining just the right mixture of fantasy, mystery, and romance. The trilogy is set in the futuristic city, New Seattle, on the Earth colony of St. Helena. Generally, I don't enjoy futuristic romance, but these novels are the exception. "Amaryllis", "Zinnia" and "Orchid" tap the possibilities in a world where unlikely couples grapple with an issue that transcends time - finding lasting relationships.
The heroines are connected to Psynergy, Inc., serving as prisms who focus the strong psychic talent of the heroes. Each love affair is steamy and passionate. Each mystery is intriquing and every book is laced with clever dialogue. Each book relates a throughly entertaining love story with rugged, handsome heroes matched with talented, intelligent heroines. Their adventures kept me on the edge of my seat! The stories were believeable, allowing me to really care about the likeable characters. It leaves Jayne Castle fans waiting for her next release.
AMARYLLIS
Beautiful, prim Amaryllis Lark is the top psychic detective at Psynergy, Inc. Enter rugged, handsome Lucas Trent, head of Lodestar Exploration. He needs a prism who is able to match his off-the-chart psychic talent. Someone is betraying him and Lucas wants to find out why. The corporate security matter turns into a high profile murder investigation placing the unlikely duo in danger. While Lucas is accustomed to living life on the edge, he doesn't count on his attraction to Amaryllis nor the mind blowing passion he experiences with her. The novel is captivating from beginning to end.
ZINNIA
Zinnia Springs was called the "Scarlet Lady" after a false tabloid ruined her reputation and her interior design business. Now she makes her living using her highly prized psychic ability. Casino owner Nick Chastain hires her to help him find his father's journal and to dig up his own mysterious past. The one thing Nick craves is respectability and he's looking for a wife to give him an added edge of credibility. Nick and Zinnia are an explosive combination, discovering a passion that's anything other than predictable. When a ruthless killer crosses their search, Zinnia must risk everything she's got-in a love affair where winner takes all.
ORCHID
The final offering in the trilogy revolves around Orchid Adams. Sexy Rafe Stonebraker is a powerful strat-talent whose ability heightens his senses and awareness of his surroundings. Rafe vow to take over the reins of his grandfather's shipping business is met with resistance from his family. He desperately needs a proper wife to clench his acceptability. After contracting Orchid to aid in his investigation, he quickly realizes that she is the woman he wants. The passion that ignites between them binds them together through a tangled web of danger as a mad killer tries to cover his tracks. Rafe uses his psychic talent to protect Orchid and bring the murderer to justice. Orchid is a terrific ending for an invigorating series.

This compelling sequel to AFTER DARK returns us to the futuristic world of Harmony and the complicated relationship of Lydia Smith and Emmett London. It's a futuristic romantic-suspense with a paranormal twist.
Life is complicated for Lydia Smith. She's working at that tacky, third-rate museum, Shrimpton's House of Ancient Horrors, trying to salvage her career in para- archaeology—and dating the most dangerous man in town. Just when she thinks she might be getting things under control, she stumbles over a dead body and discovers that her lover has a secret past that could get him killed.
Just to top things off, trouble is brewing underground in the eerie, glowing green passageways of the Dead City and that dynamic dust-bunny, Fuzz, has a couple of surprises up his tatty, furry sleeve.
Of course, all of those problems pale in comparison to the most pressing issue: Lydia has been invited to the Restoration Ball and she hasn't got a thing to wear.
